Central Region nearly lost one of the finest personalities on radio on Tuesday evening when he got involved in an accident that nearly took his life and other passengers.
Ishaque Agyei, popularly known as Shaq Bee, the morning show host of Darling Fm had the accident on the Cape Coast-Takoradi highway on his way to buy fuel between 8 and 9pm when his Nissan Altima saloon car collided with a Nissan Urvan with the registration number GT 5557-19.
Giving an account of the accident, Shaq Bee explained that he was going to buy fuel at superior oil filling station at Elmina heading from Cape Coast. When he got there, he had to stop and wait for incoming vehicles from Takoradi to pass by before he could turn left to enter the fuel station. Whilst he waiting, the Urvan bus which was carrying traders from Takoradi and moving on a top speed ran into his car. His car spinned and landed in a gutter and he managed to pull himself out. The Urvan bus, after hitting Shaq Bee's car summersaulted and landed on its side with the passengers and the driver sustaining different forms of injuries.
Luckily for Shaq Bee, he sustained minor injuries on the head and hands but his car was completely destroyed.
Shaq Bee was full of praise and thanksgiving to God for saving him considering how serious the accident was.
