The Ghanaian entertainment industry have over the years seen a tremendous contribution and impact with a successful transition from one generation unto the other leaving us with unique talents. Ranging from movie actors to musicians, comedians, footballers and TV and radio presenters, the entertainment industry in Ghana had seen quite a number of educative, entertaining and amusing characters over the years.
Death on the other hand had also displayed its mind blowing talents by laying its creepy hands on these celebrities. After exhibiting their unique gifts, death had also exhibited its wicked ways by taking away our most cherished characters from us. The ones who entertained us and made us very happy and now dead and gone. Gone for good.
But nevertheless their legacies still remains with us. Their unique talents are always remembered and and would always be on our minds. In this article, I am sharing 4 Ghanaian celebrities who died in 2016.
1. Nkomode: Yaw Donkor popularly known as Nkomode was also a comedian who was gifted with a unique style of comic presentation. With a very high sense of humour, Nkomode would always leave his fans with great joy and laughter leaving them at the highest peak of happiness after exhibiting his unique comic presentations. He died in February 2016.
2. Bob Okala: Samuel Kwadjo Buabeng popularly known as Bob Okala was a comedian whose reign was typically in the mid 1990's making fame through the popular Key Soap Concert Party on GTV back then. His unique style of comic acting entertained most individuals who enjoyed his comic ways of entertaining his fans. Surprisingly, he collapsed in the midst of a performance during an event and died in March 2016.
3. Mc Flava Pounds: His stardom rose when he joined the Efiewura TV series. After a short illness, Lucky Azasoo Nkornoo popularly known as Mc Flava Pounds died in May 2016.
4. Danny Nettey: With his inspirational gospel style he always entertained us with heart breaking gospel tunes. Some presenters would chose to play his song on their airwaves early in the morning due to its indigenous worship and inspiring motion. He was one of Ghana's finest gospel artists. He was pronounced dead after been rushed to hospital after falling unconscious at his residence. He died in July 2016.
They contributed solely to the development of our country in their own little knowledge and power. Ranging from musicians to film actors, to comedians and TV or radio presenters, these celebrities would always remain on our minds. Thanks to technology, their various talents have been recorded and can be played back from time to time. This alone helps us watch them perform even though they are no more with us. Their endless efforts to entertain us with their unique talents day and nights still remain with us.
