Kwame Asare Obeng, known in Showbiz circles as Kwame A-Plus, said the assertion that Funny Face is suffering from a mental problem that causes a relapse or trigger that makes him behave unconventionally, is wrong. Speaking on United Showbiz ( on October, 23) Kwame A-Plus said the ace comedian is using emotional blackmail under the guise of mental problems. Kwame A-Plus, who said he has been a childhood friend to Funny Face, said the former always resort to emotional blackmail if money is not forthcoming from the people who help him financially.
Arnold Asamoah Boateng, an entertainment analyst, bears to differ from Kwame A-Plus. To Arnold, though he is tempted to concur with A-Plus, it beats his imagination that, Funny Face in his sane mind will come after people like Father Dickson, Bola Ray, and Adebayor who are his sponsors.
It will be recalled that Funny Face was apprehended in the studios Kofi TV on Monday, October 18, after a video of him threatening to take his life and that of his baby mama went viral on social media. He also lashed out at prominent personalities and people who have been there for him in difficult times.
The stand-up comedian was subsequently processed for court, and upon the advice of the court, he was taken to the psychiatrist's hospital for rehabilitation.
Kwame A-Plus, therefore, advised that people who are close to Funny Face must call him to order.
