Gospel is a genre of music which is perceived to be pious, sanctimonious and sacred. This means anyone who ventures into the genre should also be seen as such. Since singers in that line of work are ministering for Christ or preaching the word through their music, they should be cautious. This is the notion of many Ghanaians.
But people also believe that, within the gospel fraternity, there is the contemporary gospel and the traditional gospel. The traditional gospel musicians do not associate themselves with pleasures of the world. Contemporary gospel musicians also behave like the secular world to draw people to the Lord.
One musician, many people believe has over the years metamorphosed from traditional gospel musician to the all new contemporary gospel musician in terms of dressing and branding is the legendary Dianna Asamoah.
Many people envisaged the talented and God-filled Gospel musician Diana Asamoah as being the headgear wearer, the overall long dress admirer and the no makeup advocator to eschew anything that portrayed the world and it’s accompanying desires. But many social media enthusiast and also fans of the musician woke up to the all new look and brand of the gospel artiste.
This has generated many mix feelings. Others feel she is looking great and beautiful others also say she is been caught up by fantasies of the world.
Many people also are oblivious of the fact that, the artiste has not changed his style of music and the anointing that is backed by the Holy Spirit in her songs. Netizens are worried as to why a gospel musician never used to put on makeup and jewelries now has all of them on.
That notwithstanding, she still gives her fans spirit filled gospel music and who knows whether it could be a new brand.
