The organizers of the German festival, HYPE Festival, have finalized the official 2022 schedule after two years of postponements and cancellations because of the spike in COVID-19 pandemic-related worries. To commemorate the festival's fifth anniversary, the Ghanaian rapper will perform among headliners such as global afrobeat heavy weight Wizkid.
Over the course of three nights, the HYPE Festival will take place. The event will take place from August 26th to August 28th, 2022. As usual, the event will take place at the Turbinenhalle in Germany.
In a short period of time, 20-year-old Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sherif, has gone from a viral sensation to one of Ghana's hottest music sensations, pushing R&B, Hip Hop, and Trap music to new heights.
Black Sherif, who combines afrobeats and amapiano, is quickly becoming a household name around the world. Many people were drawn to his songs "First Sermon" and "Second Sermon," with the latter getting over 8 million views on YouTube. With 2022 on the horizon, we can only expect much more from the rising star in the next few years.
With his unusual vocals, Black Sherif speaks of his experiences on the streets, while Burna Boy offers a clean verse.
He collaborated with Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy for the "Second Sermon" remix on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Fans in Ghana and Nigeria reacted positively to the song when it was released. According to Road Boys Association, the trap song was the second official piece from Black Sherif's camp off his yet to be released tape, which garnered a big welcome from music fans both at home and abroad (RBA).
The song is Black Sherif's largest collaboration since entering the music industry, thanks to his cooperation with Burna Boy.
