Born Nana Barima Kwaku Duah; Osei Tutu II is the 16th Asantehene, enstooled on 26 April 1999. By name, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is in direct succession to the 17th-century founder of the Ashanti Empire, Otumfuo Osei Tutu I. The Asantehene was named after his paternal grandfather, Ohenenana Kwaku Duah (Nana Agari), Brahyiahene, of Kantinkyiren in the Atwima district.

He is married to an adorable lady identified as Lady Julia. The beautiful couple is blessed with four children. In this article, we present to you the first child of Asantehene. Her name is Dr. Caryn Agyeman Prempeh.

She is a medical practitioner with a major interest in Global Public Health. She attended senior high school at St Roses Secondary School, Akwetia and further studied at Headington Girls School, Oxford, (United Kingdom), University College Of London – Biomedical Science, School Of Medical Science (KNUST) – Medicine, Queen Mary University of London – Masters in Global Public Health.

Dr. Prempeh is the founder of a non-profit organization called CERVIVA focused on creating awareness and educating women on Cervical Cancer. She also continues to practice medicine with experience working at 37 Military Hospital – Accra, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital- Kumasi, and Abenkyiman Hospital, Kumasi
