Sarkodie Reveals His Encounter With Beyonce At BET

Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Shattawale are without any doubt the most successful musicians in the Ghana music industry. Do you agree?

Over the past decade, most people do debate on either the popularity, wealth, or hierarchy of these top three (Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Shattawale), but in the long run, it's quite hard to finalize because they've been in the game for more than a decade now.

Taking a close look at a trending video on Instagram where Sarkodie was interviewed, he made mention of some of his best moments abroad and how he was acknowledged by Beyonce and Jay Z.According to Sarkodie, it isn't a surprise that Beyonce has worked with some huge Ghanaian musicians and not him because, according to him, when he first won his BET award in 2012 abroad, Beyonce herself walked up to him to congratulate him, which made him a bit skeptical as to whether she already knew him.

Though Sarkodie wasn't quite clear as to which top Ghanaian musician he was referring to, it's likely that he was indirectly referring to Beyonce's collaboration with Shattawale (Already), which had 55 million+ views on YouTube alone.

As of now, we're seeing the rise of existing talents like Kuami Eugene, Kidi, King Promise, Black Sherrif, Gyakie, Kwesi Arthur and a few others that have been consistent since their breakthrough, but I'm pretty sure that these top three (Sarkodie, Shattawale, and Stonebwoy) are without any doubt those who inspired these young ones to be who they are today.

Sooner or later, our top three musicians will stop playing music, so let me ask you this: name any current top three musicians that you think can reach the level of these three legends?
