2O2O happened so fast, with the COVID 19 pandemic on the loose, we lost so many people to the virus. Unfortunately that was not all we lost some celebrities we weren't expecting to which is still a sore wound in the mind of Ghanaians.
Below are 5 famous people who died in 2020.
Veteran and famous Actress, Beatrice Chinery popularly referred to as ‘Miliky MiCool’ in the ever famous youth TV series YOLO TV series. YOLO is a continuation of THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE, Beatrice Chinery was the ever famous koko seller who made the boys and us happy. Unfortunately she passed away on Wednesday June 10, 2020 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
According to sources Miliky MiCool died of high blood pressure and other health complications. She died at the age of 54 and left behind two children. She started her role of acting on stage in 1993, the late veteran actress shot to fame from the TV sitcom, Kejetia. This actress is proof that we must take care of our health no matter the situation
As if COVID 19 wasn't enough for the year 2020. We lost a very dear presenter Kojo Wiafe, he was a very known radio presenter on Neat FM whose sudden death occurred on June 4,2020. Kojo Wiafe who was also a very popular MC died at the Nyaho Medical Centre in Accra after a short illness. If anything 2020 has taught has that, death can take anyone, no exclusives. God protect us all.
3. Apraku my Daughter.
Pastor Emmanuel Apraku popularly known as Apraku My Daughter also passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2020. According to an unknown source close to the family, he was found dead in his room. The preacher became popular in the late 90s and early 2000s. He was the founder and leader of King Jesus Evangelistic Ministry International. Unfortunately he appeared in a viral video looking drunk and many have attributed his untimely death to the embarrassment the trended video brought him. Ooooh death why are you so cruel.
4. Bishop Bernard Nyarko
Up till date, many Ghanaians are still wondering how this happened. The death of Bishop Bernard Nyarko came as a surprise to almost every Ghanaians. This Kumasi-based actor became a full-time pastor to spread the word of God. Although a pastor, he could play any role given to him. He was known for the Hero: Service to Humanity and Sidechic Gang movies. Unfortunately Bernard Nyarko the versatile actor gave up the ghost at the Ridge Hospital in Accra on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
5. Kofi Boakye Yiadom
Kofi Boakye Yiadom was a modern-day highlife musician who stayed true to the rudiments of the highlife genre. Popularly known as Kofi B, most Ghanaians loved his music. Kofi B died during the early hours of Sunday, February 2, 2020. Oooh 2020 what have you done to us. Kofi B died as a result of a heart attack while he was in Cape Coast for a show.
Unfortunately 2020 was so cruel, we can only pray 2021 will be better.
