So far in this Ghana month, our TV stations and our celebrities seem to have taken the lead in actually making some of us feel the impact of the true importance of celebrating our roots, which we have done, by setting aside a month, purposely to promote everything Ghanaian.
Exactly what we see everyday on our television screens. From movies, to dress styles, to documentaries, everything Ghana is being promoted and some have decided not to be left out and so, have joined the train of the celebration.
Kente and other Ghanaian prints have always looked beautiful but their high patronage during this Ghana month, makes it all the more beautiful. Our kente and textile colours are shining brightly than ever before, such that if you don’t have one, you yearn to purchase it, and if you already do, you want to add more to your collection.
Presenters of Tv3 such as Ayisha Yakubu , Anita Akuffo and some celebrities such as Okyeame Kwame( who is always promoting Ghana whether "Ghana month" or not) have also joined in the “kente and local textiles rush" to enjoy the celebration of Ghana month.
They are also seen posting on their social media pages, everything that has to do with living a Ghanaian life, just so that the "Ghana month " agenda is not left out.
Lifestyle and product advertisements, are all about made in Ghana goods, patronizing Ghanaian tourist sites, and many more!.
God has indeed blessed our homeland Ghana, so make a date with your television, as it transports you back in the days of Ghana history, and you will definitely enjoy every bit of it. Also, try to put the foreign lifestyle on hold for a while and take time to promote Ghana by eating Ghana, wearing Ghana, and being Ghanaian.
