Gollywood movie industry has continued to produce some of the most promising actresses in Africa over the years. There are many young, beautiful and talented actresses who put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians every day for the type of performance that is shown every time in movies. Some of these actresses were born abroad but decided to come back to Ghana to seek fame and start their career in the entertainment industry. Today I have put together a list of 5 beautiful actresses who were born abroad but came back to Ghana for greener pasture.
1. Sista Afia
Sista Afia is one of the most talented musicians in Ghana, and she was born in the UK in 1993. Her real name is Francesca Duncan Williams, and she is also a niece to popular Bishop Nicholas Duncan Williams. Sista Afia decided to come back to Ghana to pursue her music career in 2015, and everything went according to plan after meeting with Bisa Kidei. She studied Nursing in the UK and released her first single "Kro Kro" back in 2016.
2. Efia Odo
Efia Odo is one of the most popular actresses in Ghana because of her versatility to play different roles. The beautiful actress is a presenter, an actress, and a social media influencer, her real name is Andrea Owusu. She was born in the United States of America but came back to Ghana in 2014 because she couldn't establish herself in the Hollywood movie industry. She is now a popular figure in Ghana who is making waves in the entertainment industry of today.
3. Jackie Appiah
This actress is the most popular on this list, she is an established actress throughout Africa. She acts in both Gollywood and Nollywood movies, and she is very well-appreciated among her fans. The versatile actress was born in Toronto and spent some of her childhood life in Canada. She relocated back to Ghana at the age of 10, and she featured in her first movie titled "Things we do for love".
