Ghanaian Rapper and singer, Sarkodie and, Okyeame Kwame have exhibited the preparedness to perform on Asantehene’s birthday and at the “Memphis In May International Festival” in the United State as a sign of courtesy.
The duo ahead of the upcoming performances (Otumfuo’s birthday and Memphis In May International Festival) on the two occasions paid a visit to His Royal majesty seeking for his blessings.
“The organizers have planned that there will be a concert on April 30 where there will be performances by Sarkodie and other musicians. Your birthday falls on May 6 and he cannot perform on the day without performing for you on your birthday same way he cannot perform on the day of the festival without your blessings.”
The delegation at the Manhyia Palace was led by Mr. Richard Ofori Atta, the Executive Director at E ON 3 GROUP who said that the commemorative gold coin which was launched months ago will be presented internationally and plans for its international travel are underway.
“Due to the US’s paperwork the gold coin that will be taken to the US, has been handed over to Mr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei of GLICO insurance.”
Asantehene applauded the leader of the delegation for the good work done in facilitating his participation in the festival and urged that the activity is for the betterment of Ghana and Asanteman.
“Invitation for the festival for the past two, three years haven’t been possible but it is now with my grandchild’s effort and we will also ensure that whatever will bring advancement to Ghana and Asanteman will be done over there.”
