This year happens to be the 5th edition of Ghana Music Awards UK. The scheme is established to create an open market for collaboration, sales, new music trends, cultural exchanges, marketing opportunities and several benefits. Submission for this year’s award is open as it comprises of 39 categories some of which include Hiplife/Hip Hop Artiste of the year, Hiplife/Hip Hop song of the year, Highlife song of the year, Highlife Artiste of the year and many more.
The board of this year’s award is led by two brothers, Nii Tackie-Tetteh and Emmelio Tetteh of Alordia Promotions and West Coast UK respectively. The board and its academy are made up of Media Practitioners, DJs, Sound Engineers and High-profile personalities who have experience in the music industry and they are in the persons of Nii Ofori Tackie Tetteh, William Boateng, Adwoa Saah Boateng, Samuel Osei Buabeng, Nana Osei, Sheila Emefa, Arnold Eben Nash and James N. Menzo. This year’s award event will take place at The Royal Regency 501 High Street North, Manor Park, London E12 6th.
