Here Is What Someone Close to Kwadee Thinks of The Viral Kwadee Photo

For some time now, social media has been flooded with very sensitive topics about some of the Ghanaian stars. in most cases, such stories are not fully researched into, leaving the “news” uninformative and in consumable.

A typical case has been that of the legendary Okomfour Kwadee. Social media users woke up to a viral photo of the musician posing by a lady. Though the image was uploaded by a regular social media user, it was made viral by some popular blogs in Ghana without researching it.

According to these blog sites, the image was the current condition of the talented musician, however, in an interview, Kwame Frimpong, a member of the OM family and one close to the artist, he opines that contrary to the information the media is pushing on the state of Kwadee’s current condition and soliciting for help for the artist, he wants the world to know that the musician isn’t mad as they’ve been made to think, but is only struggling with Bipolar.

Adding that Kwadee has people looking after him and does not need the kind of help they were calling Ghanaians for. To Kwame Frimpong, this is a lazy way of journalism which goes a long way to affect the subjects of such posts. He believes once they saw the image online, such credible platforms could have reached out and done some further research into it rather than posting it straightway without asking the right questions. He believes though it’s their job, they shouldn’t be incognizant of the power and the influence they have on their followers and readers when it comes to what people consider a piece of credible information.

This is an example of many of such occurrences, taking a detour from entertainment, another typical example which had an unfortunate end was that of the renowned Pastor, Apraku, whose video was made viral by these blogs when it hit social media without proper research which culminated in the sudden demise of the pastor, Apraku, a day after the video hit the trends.

Blogs with a huge following and massive traffic are entreated to at least research and provide their readers with credible or the right information which does not give them traffic at the expense of these artists.
