Many Ghanaians have been comparing Ghana music to Nigeria music which sometimes create confusion in the industry. I don't know how Nigerians also react to Ghanaian music, these comparison is making Ghanaian music unpopular because now when Ghanaians are playing music, sometimes they want to hear Nigerian rhythm in the song before they make final judgement on that song.
Sometimes when a new song is sent for promotion, during the interview the entertainment panels will be asking the artist whether him or her is Nigerian or has ever stayed in Nigeria before, just because of a particular rhythm in the song.
We all know that highlife music is from Ghana, so what do we say if highlife rhythm is in a song sang by a Nigerian, do we ask them whether day are from Ghana or lived in Ghana before. We shouldn't separate Ghanaian music from Nigerian music because we are all African from West Africa, so let as come together to promote each other's music.
Let's stop comparing and promote because many Ghanaian go to Nigeria to promote their songs some Nigerian also come to Ghana to promote their songs. Let's not forget that every artist want to reach outside his or her country so as an artist you have to look for what your fans outside want and deliver, that is why normally some artist are trying to add outside melodies to their songs. Let me know what you are also saying about this by commenting and sharing.
