The Vodafone Music Awards Unsung music category, which was introduced in 2014 is supposed to be an avenue through which unknown acts gets the opportunity on the awards show to showcase their talent in the music industry to millions of Ghanaians.
By the definition, the people who are enlisted in this category are expected to be unknown or not recognize but the situation is sharp contrast to what it actually means. In 2014, MzVee beat the likes of Cabum, Epixode, Ak Songstress, Strongman and Eno Barony. At that time all the nominees were recognized in the music scene.
The Vodafone Music Awards 2022 Unsung Act category is a very competitive one. The Artiste nominated for this category are Kwame Yogot, Oseikrom Sikani, Malcomnuna, Nanky, Kobby Tuesday, Naana Blu, Adelaide The Seer and Queendalyn. Many social media users believe that the Biibi Besi Hitmaker, Kwame Yogot deserves to win such an award while other people also think Oseikrom Sikani. The big question is between Kwame Yogot, Oseikrom Sikani, Malcomnuna, Nanky, Kobby Tuesday, Naana Blu, Adelaide The Seer and Queendalyn who deserves to win the VGMA Unsung Act of the year?
