Hip-Life musician Eugene Ashie, popularly known as Wisa Greid found himself at the wrong side of the law when he removed his manhood on stage while performing at a show in 2015. He does good music but this childish and indecent act landed him in the law court. He was reportedly fined GHC 8400 or face a two year jail term for his troubles. Sure he learnt his lessons.
Shatta and Stonebwoy
Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale also found themselves in the law court for charges levelled against them for their part in the chaos that ensued during the 2019 VGMA (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards). All these bruhaha began when shatta wale and his entourage decided to walk onto the stage when stonewoy was receiving an award on the night.
Many thought shatta was going to attack stonebwoy but he claimed he was actually going to congratulate stonebwoy. In the thick of events stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage to the shock of many.
Emmanuel Botwe, known in showbiz circlces as Kwaw Kese was also arrested on November 22, 2014 in Kumasi, for publicly smoking a substance suspected to be indian hemp. This landed him in court to face the full rigours of the law.
The Hip-Life musician was remanded for several weeks in the Kumasi central Prison before being bailed. For his troubles he was jailed for 24 hours and also directed to pay a fine of GHC1200. He said after his release that prison has changed him and has been doing lots of charity works to support inmates ever since.
Ghanaian showbiz personality Rosemond Brown popular known as Akuapem Poloo is currently facing the law for publishing nude images of herself and son on social media. She's currently in custody awaiting trial to continue.
