It is true that Mzvee was out of the system for some time but she is now back, rejuvenated and ready for action. Before her break, she was signed to Lynx Entertainment but upon arrival back to the music scene, she has parted ways with the record label and gone solo.
She has collaborated with Sarkodie, Kelvynbwoy and a list of other musicians since resuming work. It is not easy, she says, as a female solo artiste to get things done but she is pulling through.
There is a trend in Ghana that, if you are a musician, especially a successful one and you take a break from music, it is difficult for the masses to accept you back or it is difficult to breakthrough the market but this is not the case for Mzvee as she has been easily accepted back into the industry and her music is doing so well.
In an interview with Zionfelix, she was asked about what she thought of Kuami Eugene making it bigger than her now eventhough he rode on her fame to to become more popular.
In response she said: "Comparing Kuami Eugene to me is like comparing Cardi B to Beyonce. It's true that Cardi B is making it big now but Beyonce is still very respected. Likewise Kuami he has many hit songs but remember that I have also had my share of the fame that he is enjoying now."
