It could be recalled that what started as a social media campaign with the hashtag #FixTheCountry turned into a full-fledged movement propelled by angry youths of Ghana calling for better living conditions.
Social media users in Ghana during that period adhered to the hashtag #FixTheCountry to put pressure on the current government to improve its citizens' lives.
Efia Odo among other leaders of the agenda was arrested by the Ghana police for breaking the COVID-19 safety protocols to stage a demonstration.
Following her determine the actress even after her arrest didn't put a stop to the fixthecountry campaign as she was seen in several posts on social media putting pressure on the government to fix the country.
Just as we thought this campaign was not going to end anytime soon, hardly did we hear any of the leaders campaigning on social media and Efia Odo has revealed why she stopped.
Yesterday on United Showbiz, the actress revealed why she decided to stop the fixthecountry campaign, and according to her, her mum is the reason why she stopped.
According to her, her mum who is outside the country asked her to stop the campaign on countless occasions but the very one that got to her was the moment she received a call from her mum at dawn crying and begging her to stop since it was becoming dangerous.
She stated that she loves her mum and didn't want to die leaving her in pain so she had to stop the campaign.
