Breaking News: Meet The Top 4 African Celebrities Who Are Fighting HIV/AIDS Recently

Criselda Kanada, a South African actress, is the first celebrity on the list of the top five celebrities living with HIV/AIDS.

The renowned and endowed TV program host and actress has been living with HIV for nearly two decades and recently took to social media to announce that this year has been the most difficult for her of all the years she has been living with the illness. 

The second celebrity is Ghanaian Joyce Dzidzor, who recently revealed in an interview with DSTV's Africa Magic that she caught the virus from a church member.

She stated that she has been living with the virus for seven years, but that despite the stigma, she is still simply a "regular person." 

Third on the list is Adebisi Alimi, who was the first Nigerian celebrity to come out as a gay man and later admitted to contracting HIV/AIDS.

After his HIV status was revealed, the excellent actor began to lose a lot of Nollywood film opportunities, but life must move on, and he is correct. Hanks Anuku, the evil guy, is also said to be infected with the virus, but unlike the former, he has managed to make a name for himself in the industry. Despite being made aware of his HIV status, the well-known actor continues to score top roles in Nigerian and Ghanaian films.

Ray C, a Tanzanian singer, is the last on the list. Ray shocked her fans when she revealed she was infected with the virus on her Twitter account. However, after also announcing her status, she then reminded her supporters that she done so to encourage them to be brave and take a test because knowing about it might help them seek treatment that will help them live longer.
