Let's delve a little bit into the history of the VGMAs, shall we? It sure has become a very big event over the years, an event which seeks to congratulate the music industry for its excellence surely deserves much commendation for it has really done its bidding. What do you say if we go back in time to the very first awards ceremony and then discover who had gone home with the most coveted prize, " The Artiste Of The Year". As a matter of fact, the very artiste who took home the most coveted prize happened to scoop two more awards that evening_ " Best Album Of The Year" and " Most Popular Song Of The Year". Charles Kwadwo Fosu was the ultimate champion that night at the awards ceremony, he had had an exceptional year releasing hit tracks like AseƐ ho and Mato Odo mu. He is regarded by many as the greatest Ghanaian musician Of all time, you might know him better as Daddy Lumba.
He currently has seven awards at the VGMAs to his name.
