Maxwell Mawu Mensah, Nana Ama McBrown's husband, has spoken up about his part in the actress's career. On Monday, November 22, 2021, Maxwell revealed that he is his wife's manager in an interview with Abeiku Santana on his drive time show on Okay FM.

According to Abeiku Santana, there have been rumors that Maxwell receives a cut of the sponsorship deals McBrown inks.
Maxwell, on the other hand, debunked the rumor, claiming that he does not profit from his wife's business operations. McBrown, who was in the studio at the time, confirmed Maxwell's claim. She added that even when she offers, her husband refuses to take a percentage of her wages, so she has stopped. She did add, however, that she utilizes her money to assist her husband in maintaining their home when he is not present.
