They Should Be Arrested: Johnnie Hughes Sends "Strong" Message To The IGP Over The Arise Gh Incident

Following the Arise Ghana protest, host and presenter of the New Day show Johnnie Hughes has given a forceful message to the Ghana Police service.

This morning, Johnnie Hughes said on Johnnie's Bite that the Ghana Police Service should make sure to arrest police officers who disobeyed their own regulations. He clarified this and said that some police officers had thrown stones at the protesters. In order to start the conflict with the police force, he said, the Ghana Police Service even paid some guys to be among the protestors.

"Fair enough. However, you notice the police officer who also grabbed the man's camera and slammed it to the ground. You can make out the police officer in the armored car who was aiming and carrying something. I want you, Ghana Police, to follow the same directive and locate them. If you have to interdict them, do so "said he.

Johnnie Hughes displayed a photo of a man he claimed the Ghana Police Service had recruited to start creating trouble at the protest grounds.

Johnnie Hughes is requesting that the Ghana Police Service take the appropriate action and also detain the police officers.

This comes after the Ghana Police Service detained about 29 people for acting violently toward Ghana Police officer
