Francisca Gawugah known by the stage name Sista Afia, is a Ghanaian vocalist and musician from Accra. She acquired acknowledgment following the arrival of her single "Jeje", which highlights dancehall craftsman Shatta Wale and Afezi Perry. 

Sista Afia is a normal Fante young lady who comes from Swedru in the Central Regon of Ghana however was initially brought up in Santasi, Fankyenebra a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. 

She spent the most of her youthful age in Accra and Kumasi and later migrated to the United Kingdom for her schooling as an attendant. She later got back to Ghana in 2015 to seek after her music vocation. She had her most noteworthy motivation from performer Bisa Kdei and even had a cooperation on the tune "Kro No".
