Luigi Maclean is a gospel musician who came to fame since featuring on mentor and label boss Joe Mettle’s ‘Bo Noo Ni’ in 2017, he has gained widespread praise for his soothing vocal delivery and inspirational take on life.
He started singing whiles a student at Mfantsipim as a member of Joyful Way Inc., then competed in the music reality show, Stars of the Future, and then was a campus sensation in the christian circles at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; Ghana.
Luigi Maclean is gradually growing a large audience in Ghana’s gospel music industry and he is working at it with his all. His unique and soulful voice tone, great calm personality as well as his passion endears him to many. He brought spirit-filled worship songs, titled Amazing and 'Oguama', a local dialect worship song which features one of VGMA's 2020 gospel nominees, MOG Music.
Being featured in June 2017, by Ghana’s first Gospel star to win the much coveted VGMA Artiste of the year, Joe Mettle has been his trump card into the gospel music industry, one that he cherishes most and acknowledges Joe Mettle for always. Luigi Maclean was nominated as the Male vocalist of the year category in 2019 during the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
He has also performed at several top gospel events and his performance at Joyful Way Inc.'s annual concert and his rendition of ‘Made a way’, originally by Travis Greene, blew patrons at the concert away and itched hi in the hearts of many lovers of Gospel music.
Luigi has also worked with many gospel artistes and choirs including Joe Mettle, Joe Bechem, Diana Hamiltion, No Tribe, Harvest Gospel Choir, OJ, Tagoe Sisters and many others. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography. There is indeed so much to expect from this young and rare music talent.
Even more interesting is the fact that, he and Luigi Maclean were close friends, who ministered severally together, largely during their days at KNUST and just afterwards. These rare pictures are inspiring and tells of an equal passion for the gospel being sang by these two young men, who are set to impact this nation either ways, in the Christian circles and more. Archie Anaba studied for BSc. Architecture, whereas Luigi is the graduate of the same Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology (KNUST) with a degree in Geography and environmental science.
