One of Ghana’s dynamic gospel artiste Kofi Owusu Duah Anto with showbiz name KODA has revealed the reason why he only produce gospel songs.
In an interview with Kofi Adoma on Kofi TV that it is his choice to produce only gospel songs and he chooses to be a Christian Engineer.
“In 2002 when I started doing engineering, I decided to be an absolute Christian engineer, so I record only Christian music in my studio. Just as a Rasta man will not touch dreadlocks, a vegetarian will not eat meat, KODA won’t play or record secular songs” KODA stated
KODA explained that according to the Bible all things are lawful but not all things are helpful therefore secular songs can be lawful but may not be helpful.
“I do Christian music personally, if you open yourself up to that genre of music, it does not only come with the songs but it comes with the people that make the songs and the engineers as well. You must relate well with your client and speak their language and be in spirit with them. That is one thing I can’t do” KODA added
