Dan Amakye Dede is a Ghanaian musician. He is one of Ghana's premier high-life artists popularly referred to as "Iron Boy", "the high-life maestro" and "Abrantie". Amakye Dede was born in Agogo, Asante Akim. He attended Agogo Roman School.
Mary Amakye-Dede, wife of Ghana's renowned highlife artiste, Amakye-Dede has entreated Ghanaian ladies not to enter into marriages with the aim of enriching themselves.
Speaking on the program “Abrabo” on Asempa 94.7 FM, Adwoa Mary as she is affectionately called said it is better to start life and make wealth with the man of your life entering a marriage with an opportunistic mindset.
“Ladies no longer have the attitude to endure challenges in marriage. I know some men are troublesome but it is not healthy to go into marriage with the idea of what you will gain, should the relationship collapse” she noted.
“I will never abandon my marriage even if my husband has a child out of wedlock” she added.
The legendary Highlife maestro's beautiful daughter is identified as Janessa Amakye. Though little is known about her, what we know is that Janessa is a great musician just like her father Amakye Dede.
