Sarkodie has gained both local and international recognition. He's adored by millions of fans around the globe. His exceptional musical talent seems to get better and better.

As a musician and a philanthropist, a tribute(respect) has to be shown to his name for his enormous musical achievements.

This article focuses mainly on his achievements as a rapper and the need to show gratitude not just because of his talent, but because of his humanitarian acts.

As you may know, Sarkodie launched his debut song "Make" in 2009. His tenacity to reach the peak of his talent did not end there. He worked hard to release song after song. And in 2010, "The Borga Borga" hitmaker slipped into the spotlight where everyone's attention was on him. Since then he's been doing incredible stuff through his rap.

He's recently been signed by Akon on the Konvict Africa label and won 5 awards including the Best Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards. He's been nominated twice at the Black Entertainment Television(BET) Music Awards and has won one.
