There are popular musicians who were born blind but still succeeded and made their mark in the industry. Some people were naturally born blind while some was through an accident or other unforeseeable circumstances.
No one wants to be born with any form of disability and it's always sad to see an innocent child come out with one. However, we cannot question God but love and support them because disability is not a lack of ability.
1. Yahaya Makaho
Malam Hahaha Makaho is a Nigerian musician who was born blind, and he was born on July 8, 1982. He took over the microphone before launching into a song for his new album at a recording studio in the town of Kaduna, northern Nigeria.
Yahaya who has been blind since childhood overcame obstacles that often crush the dreams of people with disabilities in this region and went from street beggar to a star popular star.
Cobhams Asuquo is a Nigerian musician, a producer and songwriter. In 2005, he was signed with Sony ATV London as a songwriter. Cobham is one of the musicians who was born blind but has always been successful in the music industry. He married Veronica Olukanni in 2010 and they gave birth to their first son, David, who was also born blind.
3. Chidinma Ekile
She is very successful in the music industry in Nigeria, and she was first recognized during her participation in the "Project Fame West Africa," because of her victory at one of Nigeria's most popular talents show.
She said, “I was born blind. I just couldn't see for a few months. Ever since i sang about it, i have felt the need to help children who find themselves in such situations or even worse. So every time i travel to these places, i try to extend a hand of love to these children”.
She made this revelations in December 2017, she decided to inform the world that she was actually born blind during in an exclusive interview with the Guardian newspaper.
