He vows that he will no longer allow his label to submit his music to the Grammys.
Before his decision to boycott The Grammys, he publicly in November, via Twitter condemned the Academy's decision to "snub" him. He twitted; "The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency..."

As "Blinding Lights" continues to top charts and make new records on Billboard, it is also argued to be nominated for Record Of The Year or Song Of The Year, since it's been a smashing hit.
The Weeknd becomes the latest to joins Jay Z, Kanye West and others who have also boycotted The Grammys for various reasons.
