Social media personality, Rosemond Brown, jailed 3 months for publication of obscene material & domestic violence.
Known as Akuapem Poloo, Rosemond Brown was found guilty of posting a nude photo of herself and her 7-yr old son on his birthday on June 30, 2020.
Few Ghanaian personalities has shot into the pronounced judgment of Akuapem Poloo labeling it as unfortunate for a poor girl who's without any social status, hence has been used as an "escaped goat" to pacifier the system.
Comments from these educated elites has sounded and alarm of caution to fellow Ghanaians to be circumspect with their daily dealings more especially on social media, hence they will become victims of cleaning a chocked judicial system in the country.
Their comments highlighted the sad nature of sentencing her [Akuapem Poloo] on the platform of child protection which has no law backing it.
It's unfortunate, but i also think that it could have been worse. The jail term appears lenient.
There are surely lessons to be learnt perhaps not just for her, but for all others. The law is the law; we just expect that it applies to all fairly.
