There are two popular musicians who are still living and needs to be commended about their extreme effort in lifting the good image of Ghana high through music.
One among the two living legend is Reggie Rockstone.
Reginald Yaw Asante Osei popularly known as Reggie Rockstone is a Ghanaian musician born in the United Kingdom.
He has spent most of his life in Ghana, precisely Kumasi and Accra and had pioneered the hip life movement. He has played an extra ordinary role in the development of the this type of African genre in Ghana. He is versatile in raping both Akan and English dialect. In 2004 he won the best African Video in Kora Award. Reggie joined the Ghanaian Hip Hop group VVIP following the exit of Promzy in 2014. He has featured many musicians including Sakodie in his song "11:11".
He is internationally acclaimed with several performances throughout Africa, UK, USA, and Switzerland, just to mention but a few.
Being well versed in hip-hop, he was able to merge it with true African rhythms to produce a new brand of song, the Hip-hop which was widely embraced in Ghana and many other continents.
The second on the list is Mr. Music Man. Those who are his fans definitely knows I’m talking about Kojo Antwi. He is a Ghanaian Afro pop, highlife and reggae musical artist
He started his music career immediately by playing with the band Boomtalents.
Antwi has received the West Africa Tourism Award, All Africa Music Awards, Kora Award, and the Our Music Award. He has also travelled to so many countries, singing in the Akan dialect and eventually lifting the flag of Ghana high. There are two popular musicians who are still living and needs to be commended about their extreme effort in lifting the good image of Ghana high through music.
These two living legend in my view, should be highly rewarded for their effort in lifting Ghana music high.
