The Iconic Suzzy Williams, 16 Years On. What Are Your Fond Memories Of Her?

16 years ago last Wednesday, Ghana lost one of its iconic actress Suzzy Williams. She died in an accident on September 8 in 2005.

The actress starred in many movies to include Together Forever, Fresh Trouble, Lover Boy in Ghana, My Mother's Heart, A Touch of Love, The Comforter, War for War, The Sisterhood, Calamity and of course her famous performance in Official Prostitute amongst others. She also starred in hit TV series Sun City, Taxi Driver etc.

A product of Tema Secondary School, the actress died at the peak of her career at age 23 after having become so popular and amassing an enviable fanbase.

Some tagged her as the bad girl of the Ghanaian movie industry because of the kind of roles she played in movies, with some critics believing she was being stereotyped.

Her mother Cecilia Williams in an interview with Stacy Amoateng on her Restoration Show said she believed her daughter was murdered.
