The whole country was taken by anxiety after the rumour of death kept trickling in from some online media portals. The Guardian website boldly published a breaking News about Hajia Ramatu Mahama's supposed death. As to what they wanted to achieve, they boldly made this post on two consecutive times.
After that announcement by the Guardian website, hundreds of people started making calls to Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama who happens to be the son of former vice president Aliu Mahama.
Farouk Aliu Mahama who couldn't stand the fake news quickly came online in the night to dispel the rumour. Same was also published by THE CUSTODIAN website.
Farouk Aliu Mahama who was very emotions about how the Guardian website made such an inaccurate news had this to say :
“My mom is still alive. We should leave matters of death and health in the hands of the Almighty Allah. Members of the public should please disregard the reports” Farouk Aliu Mahama made this emotional plea and clearance.
Confirmation is that, the Guardian website lied. Hajia Ramatu Mahama is alive and healthy.
