Popular R&B singer Robert Sylvester Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for Sexual abuse of women, girls and boys.
Robert Kelly has been accused of sexual misconduct for so many years including his former wife, Andrea Kelly and has faced many trials but the 55-year-old singer had denied any wrongdoings all these years. R Kelly was convicted last year September on nine counts of racketeering and sex trafficking law.
Robert Kelly was accused by Prosecutors from the Eastern District of New York of using his status as a celebrity to abuse young girls, boys and women for his sexual pleasure.
On Wednesday 29 June 2022, Seven of Robert Kelly's victims were in court to testify against the three-time Grammy award winner for sex trafficking and racketeering. R Kelly has been found guilty of the charges he is been accused of and he will be held at the federal detention facility in Brooklyn. R Kelly will face another trial in August for child pornography and obstruction charges in Chicago.
