Veteran actor Clement Bonney, with the popular moniker, Mr Beautiful and the film industry based in Kumasi (Kumawood), has asked Ghanaians to blame former president John Agyekum Kuffour for the collapse of Concert Party.
According to Mr Beautiful, an appointee Eva Lokko under the ex - president John Agyekum Kuffour when appointed to GBC collapsed concert party, once the most entertaining show in Ghana.
Speakingbon the United Showbiz, on United television, UTV, a Ghanaian based television show on August 22, 2020, actor, Mr Beautiful revealed that the New Patriotic Party has nothing good to offer the creative art industry.
He added that Eva Lokko after her appointment increased the sponsorship packages for the sponsors for which reason, Unilever, the main sponsor pulled out, hence the collapse of Concert Party.
However, Nana Ama McBroom, host of the show asked why then does he not blame Eva Lokko but former president Kuffour but Mr Beautiful revealed that if everyone blames Mahama for mistakes of his appointees then former president John Agyekum Kuffour collapsed Concert party.
Mr Beautiful is one of the actors who worked hard to project Kumawood, as a result of which the disturbing infiltration of Nigerian movies onto the Ghanaian market significantly reduced and in that regard, he deserves some plaudit.
His delivery in the Fanti language was a refreshing fit in all the movies he starred in and he presented a refreshing drift to the characters he played. He is versatile as he was able to fit into every role assigned and he always delivered. That’s how proficient he is in acting!
