In Ghana, there is no way comedy can be taken out of our way of living. We play a lot and that is even better because there is too much hardship in the country and one must stay happy before frustration absorbs one into depression. However, in the spirit of the jokes, we have had some hilariously wild events where people used dubious scamming ways for varied reasons. The top two scammers of all time in Ghana are the following people:
The first and most annoying is Dr UN. This guy organized an award scheme for top personalities in Ghana. He posed himself as the United Nation representative. This made the whole move prestigious and respectable. Sports personalities like Nathaniel Attoh had an award from this pseudo representative, D-Black and Sarkodie also received their award from this fake Dr UN. Current Speaker of Parliament- Alban Babin also received citations for his invaluable work in politics. The sad part of the matter is, all these personalities paid money before they had their awards. This grand pseudo-UN award scheme won the attention of all Ghanaians and they mocked the awardees.
Another shocking scam from the camp of the female gender is the case of Josephine Panyin Mensah. She bought a Silicone baby bump and used it for 9 months. She was able to prevent her husband from knowing even as she lived with him in the same room. She also prevented the husband from having sex with her for 5 months because doctors recommended that she stay away from sex. Additionally, she staged her kidnap and later appeared in a pool of blood claiming the kidnappers forced the baby from her belly. She said she did all this scam to please the husband.
