Net 2 TV, is one of the media brands among others such as Oman fm, Ash fm under the Ken City Media owned by the Member of Parliament for Assin North, Hon Kennedy Agyapong. They command a huge space in the media industry in Ghana because of their Chief Executive Officer who always strive for excellence and does not bow to the status quo.
Net 2 TV runs a socio political talk show which seeks to inform, educate and expose wrongs in our society including the practice of religion in the country. The show has carved a niche for itself because of the messages they propagate and the host who has always been daring in the discharge of his duties.
However, Mr Justice Annan, who happens to be the host of the show is being sued for defamation of character by the former Inspection General of Police, Mr Asante-Apeatu.
On June 16, Mr Annan on his show has sought to suggest that the former IGP is a fence for criminals in Nigeria and Ghana, harbours as well as works in cahoots with criminals and is on the payroll of top criminals in Ghana.
These comments according to the former IGP were a defamatory to his character has sued him as per the court sermons below.
