The System Is Not Working. Read How Funny Ghanaians Reacted To Akuapem Poloo's imprisonment.

Ghanaian actress and social media sensation, Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Pooloo was handed a 90 day prison sentence today. The 31 year old slay queen was jailed for going naked before her young son and proceeding to post the picture on social media.

Although several celebrities, including musician Sarkodie, comedian DKB, etc launched a campaign to help free or have sympathy on the actress, the court decided to hand her a three month prison sentence.

After the actress was sentenced to spend 90 days in prison, Ghanaians reacted in several ways. Whilst some people were expressing their joy that finally the laws of Ghana are seen to be working, others were holding opposing views. Some people were of the opinion that the laws of Ghana only deal with those who are poor and without connections.

Some others also cited instances where the laws were expected to work against certain people but which never happened. They mentioned names of people like Alfred Agbesi Woyome, Nana Appiah Mensa, popularly known as NAM1, etc. So they wondered why the laws could so speedily deal with Akuapem Pooloo who only went naked in the presence of her own son. Apparently, Akuapem Pooloo, as well as several mothers always go naked or bath in the presence of their young sons, and this is no serious offense that should attract a prison sentence.

The opinions of others are that the young socialite will probably come back from prison transformed, as her behavior has not been worthy of been emulated by the young ones who look up to such celebrities like her. The following were some of the reactions from Ghanaians on social media.
