A new wave of music debate has emerged on Twitter, with Medikal and Yaw Tog ranking at the top of Ghanaian Twitter today, with the genesis of the discussions being Yaw Tog's "Sore" remix hitting one million views on YouTube in just four days.
This is a new record in the Ghanaian music industry, as no Ghanaian artist, include Sarkodie, Medikal, and even Manifest, is said to have earned a million YouTube streams for their song four days after it had been released.
Yaw Tog, an emerging rapper known for spreading Asakaa, a rap drill music genre created by the Kumericans movement, remixed Sore with UK Grammy winner Stormy and influential Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur.
