Vote Akufo-Addo, when I had an accident, his ambulance was there for me - Samini.

Celebrated reggae/dancehall artist Samini reiterated his appeal for the electorate to vote in the December 7 elections for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because he was saved while cycling by the ambulance services he brought into the country.

"Sharing his experience for another four years in a video endorsing the President, the forever hitmaker said I was cycling the other day and I had a small collision and we actually had a designated ambulance with us.

We cycled all the way to Mole National Park from Sogakope, and I had to rest at Dambai. The reasoning here is that I don't know when we will have ambulances like that in Ghana's history, so we could have one named for us.

But I would have had a big issue with that ambulance, and I would have had a scar to prove [attempting to point to the corner of his left eye], but there was an ambulance, and it took care of me right there and then until they took me to the hospital.

"The ambulance which I've heard about and I've witnessed it so I know that at least one ambulance is going to get there if something is happening in some remote corner."

Equipped with specialized life support equipment and monitoring equipment, the 307 ambulances were allocated to 275 districts i.e. 1-Constituency-1-Ambulance, to be operated by the National Ambulance Service and the remaining 32 ambulances to the Service Headquarters.

In fulfillment of his 2016 campaign promise, Akufo-Addo commissioned and delivered 307 new, state-of-the-art ambulances to the National Ambulance Service on Tuesday, 28 January 2019.
