Jeremy Mansfield reveals heartbreaking reason for social media silence

Popular South African television and radio presenter Jeremy Mansfield has revealed his battle against cancer is, unfortunately, not yet over. The former 702, Highveld Stereo and Capital Radio DJ first got leukaemia over a decade ago but managed to beat the disease only for it to now rear its ugly head yet again.

The once frequent social media poster went completely silent a couple of weeks ago leaving many fans and followers of local celebrities worried about what could be wrong.Unfortunately, one of the worst possible scenarios has played out even though Mansfield himself remains incredibly upbeat about the whole situation.

"Haven't posted for ages, reason being I've been in hospital battered by tests asI was not feeling 100%. Turns out I have a form of liver cancer," he posted to Facebook. "Docs not sure which type so l'm back in next week for more biopsies to find the right cell.

That way the oncologists can design the right treatment. Been here before "Kicked leukaemia's ass 13 years ago after nine months of treatment. Don't f#€k with me jou vrot ding! First thing 'm going to do on Monday? Stride into my Mansfield 2 day office and start creating some of the best damn YouTube content to go onto the tube from 31 January Now THAT'S how you kick back! Attitude baby!"
