All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) is an annual awards event. The International Committee AFRIMA established it in collaboration with the African Union (AU) to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage. Its maiden Awards event was held in 2014.
The AFRIMA has 37 awards categories and virtually every year, Ghanaian musicians do secure their nominations in at least one of them with most of them emerging as winners in their respective categories. Ghanaian musicians who have ever won an AFRIMA are Wiyaala (2014/2015), Stonebwoy (2015/2019), VVIP (2016), KiDi (2018), Manifest (2018) and Kuami Eugene (2018).
This year, Ghana's best female rapper, Eno Barony has been nominated in the Africa Best Female Rapper category together with 9 female rappers around the continent of Africa. "The Force Dem To Play Nonsense" hit maker is very optimistic to sweeping away this very award because she has really paid her dues within the year under review and we can all attest to the fact.
