Akwasi Boadi, a well-known actor and television host from Kumawood, has revealed the origin of his stage name. His Key Soap concert companion and fellow actor, also known as Nkomode, gave him the stage name.
When Nkomode and I stayed with Apostle Kwadwo Kantanka back then, he used to operate a commercial vehicle by the name of "One Pound." Nkomode was unable to recruit a bus conductor because of the car, and he couldn't hire me either because I was his mate. He therefore claimed that while he would pay me to wash his car, he would also wash it himself and pocket the money if he returned and I wasn't home.
As a result, I was usually at home doing the work, and he jokingly gave me the nickname "Ako ab3to," which means he always comes back to see me. That name was eventually changed to Akrobeto. He said this in an exclusive interview.
