"Daddy Lumba is one great artiste I've seen that has that zeal and humility while you're working with him." When he's working with you, no matter how well-known he is, he still acts like a hustler. "Dealing with him is like working with a bunch of young, rambunctious boys in the studio," he explained.
Daddy Lumba, he claims, does not relax until he has achieved the best result, which is what makes him the best. "I knew I had to live up to or exceed his expectations, and that was my drive to start making insane rhythms," he admitted.
"Those 'I have the talent' artistes are particularly difficult to work with," Appietus explained, "because they think they know it all and are constantly relaxed." They will never progress with it, but artists who are passionate about music will do whatever you tell them to do."
On that point, he stated that zeal and patience are two of the most important qualities he looks for in an artist who wants to collaborate with him.
