Achimota is undoubtedly one of the big and best senior high school in Ghana which has over the years nurtured and produced very key and influential people in the country throughout its history.
Achimota SHS has recently dominated the news headlines and a common term trending on social media with regards to its principle stands towards admitting some qualified students who happened to be Rastafarians.
Despite the debate on going, which obviously will help the course of our nation going forward, in this article we wish to highlight the school's contribution towards building the nation.

Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was the first president of Ghana and he was in office for 5 years.
Rawlings was a Ghanaian military officer and later became the president of Ghana for many years.
She was the wife of the Late Jerry John Rawlings and she became the first lady during his term in office.
4 John Evans Atta Mills
He was a former president of the Republic of Ghana.
5 John Dumelo
John Dumelo is a Ghanaian actor and a politician. He emerged as the first Ghanaian to hit 1 million likes on Facebook.
6 Reggie Rockstone
Reggie Rockstone is a successful Ghanaian musician who have been in the system for quite long time.
