In an interview on Onua FM’s Anigye Mmre hosted by Christian Agyei Frimpong, he opined that there are good ways gospel musicians can be projected to the rest of the world.
He recounted how he served his spiritual father years back without taking a dime when he began as a gospel artiste. He added that it is through the intervention of God that enabled him pay for all his studio recordings and how prayers have brought him this far.
He opined that most musicians come to his church to minister but he (Rev Abbeam) knows that most of the artiste comes with their own agenda but he has done a lot for these artiste and can't quantify what they've given him in return.
”I have supported many gospel musicians but what have they done for me personally, most people when you invite them for a church program they have their own motive but they fail to recognize what they are doing is spiritual work for God,” he said.
He then showered praises on artistes who have honored his invitations without asking for any amount of money but in his own wisdom, he found a way to appease them with some little cash.
”I invited some musicians for a particular event, none of the musicians who came asked of any money and I later discussed with music producer Kawa on how I can organize something for them.”
