We have often heard tall tales of scenarios where Mothers-in-law weren't on the best terms with their daughters-in-law. An interview with Kwaku Manu's mother reveals she is part of the list of such tales as she and the wife of his son had a few misunderstandings back in the day.
Zion Felix who specializes in conducting uncut interviews journeyed to Obuasi where Kwaku Manu's mother is residing. In the interview, she reveals that the misunderstanding she had with her daughter-in-law seriously damaged the relationship she had with her son to the point that Kwaku Manu wouldn't come to visit her and even spoke against her.
She then narrates that when Kwaku Manu came back to his senses, he wanted to apologize however because of guilt he couldn't come himself, so he sent Kwadwo Nkansah (Popularly known as Lilwin) with some handful of people to come and apologize on his behalf.
She then recounts that Kwadwo Nkansah served as the spokesperson and apologized saying "he didn't know what came over him. he is therefore apologizing and seeking forgiveness. He is so overburdened with guilt that he couldn't come himself, that is why he has asked us to come."
She continues the narration that, when Lilwin finished apologizing on Manu's behalf, she forgave her son. Lilwin then took that as a cue to call Kwaku Manu to come home. Kwaku Manu then came home to seek forgiveness himself and then asked the wife (Mrs. Okaale) who also came and asked for forgiveness.
She then concludes that, while the whole situation was unraveling tears were building up and she ended up crying, of which Kwaku Manu joined, and then followed by Manu's Wife and then Lilwin. In the end, everyone at the meeting was crying she narrates.
