Akwaboah shared his opinion on what Shatta Wale said days ago about highlife in Ghana on okay fm.
Shatta Wale said sometime ago that ghana music don't have a genre representing Ghana. His statement sparked controversies on the internet.
According to Akwaboah, he felt very disrespected when Shatta Wale made that statement. He also said he's not the only highlife musician Shatta Wale disrespected. He mentioned the likes of Kumi Guitar, Dada Hafco. He mentioned the legendary Amakye Dede and Kojo Antwi.
He said there's no need for Shatta Wale to apologise because he knew what he said but doesn't know.
Akwaboah also said highlife musicians don't get the support to get to the Grammys and BET like other musicians.
The host, Abeiku Santana also asked for support for highlife musicians to get the recognition at the international level.
