Good Morning Ghana is one of the best socio-political morning shows on TV. The show has been hosted for many years by Dr. Randy abbey and over the years the show has won many plaudits from Ghanaians for its candid opinions. Today, Friday, July 9, 2021 Randy Abbey was joined on the show by Sam George MP for Ningo Prampram and Nana Akomea, the Director of the State Transport Service.
The panel discussed issues relating to the decision of the family of the late Kaaka not to testify before the Committee probing the deaths in Ejura and the proposed salaries to the spouses of the First and Second Gentlemen of the land.
As the discussion continued Randy Abbey handed a publication to Nana Akomea and the latter applauded the Publicity team led by Randy’s fellow host, Annie Ampofo for doing a good work since he joined the Good Morning Ghana team. According to Nana Akomea, there are times that Annie has provided him with kenkey after the show. He commended her for her dedication to work.
After praising Annie, Nana took it to Randy Abbey and jokingly criticized him for being on the show for a long time and not providing for his guests on the show. “You have hosted all these years. You have done nothing all these years. You have to change” Nana Akomea said.
Annie Ampofo hosts the show on Mondays and other days that Randy Abbey is off. On other issues Sam George said he doesn’t see much hope from the committee probing the Ejura incident because so far their line of questioning has rather blamed the media for the wrongs in Ejura. Nana Akomea however objected to it because he felt that people shouldn’t be prejudiced as they wait for the findings.
