Meet Beautiful and Diligent Young Lawyer Maryam Shuaibu Shariff - PICS

Maryam Shuaibu Shariff is an intelligent, young and dynamic legal professional who just have love for anything law. She is currently working with Legal Ink (Lawyers & Notaries) as an Associate Lawyer, where she directly handles several commercial cases at the firm, which has given her a deep understanding of the business environment.

Maryam also works on some civil litigation cases as well, representing her clients at court and so far, she has chalked up some remarkable successes, emboldening her court room practices. During her working career, she has drafted and reviewed several agreements also and assisting generally also.

Maryam is passionate about gender issues and her interest areas, where she has been actively involved is in Gender-Based violence (GBV) which refers to harmful acts directed at an individual based on their gender. It is rooted in gender inequality, the abuse of power and harmful norms, as a serious violation of human rights and a life-threatening health and protection issue, it is estimated that one in three women will experience sexual or physical violence in their lifetime. During displacement and times of crisis, the threat of GBV significantly increases for women and girls.

Maryam is therefore committed to promoting gender equality and human rights. Maryam Shuaibu Shariff was called to Ghana Bar in October 2018 after graduating from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2015 with a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL. B).

Maryam Shuaibu Shariff is very interested in Commercial, Human Rights Law, and Criminal Justice. She is on the Board of Directors of Akwaaba Feeds Ltd, a manufacturing company located in the Central Region, which produces high-quality poultry feed with the support of Bioproton, an Australian based developer and manufacturer of high-quality enzyme, surfactant and probiotic feed supplements, renowned globally.
